Wadi Tajent

On the northern slopes of the Black Mountains, deep within the earth, shadows hang like ancient secrets in the Tajent Valley, where the wind moves with the lightness of the wise. There, between the walls of distant times, the engraved rocks rise like a close memory, leaning with an emotion untouched by the fear of oblivion, in representations of meaning as if they were the tattoo of the first world.

A field reconnaissance expedition was conducted on October 16, 2024, at the Wadi Tajent site, during which the rock terrace engravings were archaeologically documented and studied. The expedition highlighted the most significant symbolic representations associated with shamanic culture within their cultural context linked to the natural landscape of the site.
